From the very beginning of Campaign 4, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with deep backstory, a colorful mix of heroes, and a thrilling plot including celestial beings, demons, and malevolent powers increasing in power within the urban setting.
Heads-up: Revealing details for the third episode of this adventure follow below.
The Warrior Group Introduced
The third episode concluded with a major cliffhanger and revealed the first table of adventurers who will branch out from the main group to undertake their own adventure, separate from the other two tables.
This warrior group consists of Teor Pridesire (brought to life by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (the cast member), Wicander (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
Considering 13 cast members, it was obvious from the outset that keeping everyone at a single group would be unfeasible.
That’s why, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Prelude, weaving together the personal journeys before branching into three separate parties: Fighters, Strategists, and Seekers.
The Nature of the Warrior Group
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for adventurers who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy story mode where diplomatic options are few and far between.
At first glance, characters like the hesitant healer the cleric might appear unsuited, but the actions of the third episode demonstrate why these five characters are best suited for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
First, the party has a clear idea where to go next after a violent initial meeting with the antagonists.
Casimir of Thjazi—whose death started the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his selfish purposes, invading the secret base, assaulting the character, and swiping all the enchanted items to sell off.
The antagonist then settled his liabilities and ran away to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, north of the urban center, with Teor’s brother close behind.
Character Drivers
Secondly, each adventurer has a specific drive to depart Dol-Makjar:
- The agile hero, as the companion and trusted friend, desires vengeance.
- Kattigan has experience in the northern area and advises that it is a hostile place.
- The strong character and Wicander, having resisted his relatives’ demands to execute the target and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
- But, their position as key figures in House Halovar could assist the team enter locations they normally couldn’t.
- Additionally, The grateful character vowed a eternal obligation to Wicander for his salvation and will now follow him everywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
Finally, all of them are sought by the authorities that control Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:
- Thimble and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
- Tyranny and The healer turned against House Halovar and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- The target is wanted dead by the family.
This results in them no alternative but to travel to Timmony in search of Casimir.
Future Episodes
According to the recent installment’s post-show segment, we find out that the Soldiers table won’t be around the following episode, leaving the remaining eight participants to form the Questers and Planners tables.
